Life is only good with a safe family from home, a wife that knows why, and a signpost ahead.    Hell, at least for me it is.  I can’t imagine a life without riding.     There’s a new vantage point here, time to see it all.

Feel like I’m crawling out the other side of a shit pool, via shawshank redemption. Dug the hole, pounded the pipe. Point is, the pipe needed to be pounded, and the hole was there waiting. It just hadn’t been dug yet.     Yeah, its about over.    Like my old man used to say ” they can’t eat me”.

I know the crux of my blog always started out with cool shit from easy rider and route 66.   Shit that I was proud to tell you about, and report on.    Between that time and now has been financial hell.     I haven’t been a fucking baby, i’ve just been over my head.     State tax commission, IRS, bad deals i wouldn’t make now, from a business partner that should have never been trusted.   waah waah waah.    End of the day, it was 2.6 million dollars that held over my sanity, my family and my marriage that I bore at times, cracked under at times, and walked away learning from mostly.

2.6 mil sounds like some sort of playa, to be impressed by someone.    Contrary;   i just chased too hard.   The truth is, for me the real living comes from working a hard 8  to 6  and laying it all out there.    I know when i’ve done it, and I’m smart enough to know that those  results speak for themselves.       Man, if they don’t maybe a 7 to 8 is in order, or even a 6 to 9.     Gotta provide at the end of the day, right?    times are changing.

What did I learn?

• First, I got a helluva good wife.    Most women couldn’t handle what I put her through, chasing the rainbow.   In fact, she’s perfect.      I can never really explain how much on this blog
• Never have a partner again.      I just wont.   Learned too much.
• back to the wife:  her and I can do almost anything business wise.   Don’t know if I’ve met another team that compliments each other as much as we do.   She fills my details, I plow ahead pretty well.      Whatever.   enough said.

I had a pretty fast motherfucking bike.   its gone now, and it had to go.    Been pretty patient, and made a deal the last few weeks to get a pretty blown road king, with a 6 speed baker and I feel pretty confident I’ll be riding again come spring.

Still not much snow up here, and little enough that if I had a bike I’d be riding in it. I don’t, but I got a line on one. Hopefully if all goes well by springtime.

I can’t wait. I miss riding more than anything. I get dreams at night about it. I’ll have one, one way or another. It’s who I am.

I’ve always liked this song. Elton John is queer as a football bat, and sure I’m homophobic, but this song is really good. its always hit me at the right time, and the right place. Told about a time in his life where he had to make a change and he muscled it up and did what he had to do. I respect that.

I love old punk rock. It was my genre of choice at my influential teenage years, and I have some good memories of good friends to this day, and friends that have passed. This made a lot of playlists across western Deserts for me. It always fit what my harley was telling me.

this might be what I’m looking for, as far as what I wanted to do with this thread but it’ll do. The story is so good. Neil Peart was such a good storyteller, so when I thought if it it had to go down. That in itself is kinda random, and I’m hiding behind that.

Been reading some of my old blog posts.   Fuck, I gotta get me a bike.   I gotta wake up in a new town, with a new outlook on the day.   One good day lasts a month sometimes.

I love my wife, God knows I do.

I love my kids.   I love seeing who they are, and how they handle challenges.    Sometimes holding the wife off from their challenges, so they can find out what they’re made of.    Thats a blog post for some day, that maybe only men can understand.

but I miss my bike.   Can’t go into the garage and start her, can’t ride around the block.    Can’t dream about the next long trip where I sit in field and wonder how it was in the day, or bullshit with a bro who understands.    Can’t be the prick who’s riding when its way too cold.    yeah, I gotta have a bike.
